New Canyon Speedmax CFR unboxing
I am so fortunate to have such fantastic support from the Canyon brand and the Canyon pro sport team and am super excited to receive my new Canyon Speedmax CFR. The new Speedmax is the product of many hours of engineering work. The team has created an even faster bike that is also extremely practical for triathlon. Here I run through some the key features of the new bike.
Fully Integrated Hydration and Top Tube storage
Out of the box the machine is slick. The first thing you will notice is that the new Speedmax has virtually no noticeable storage or hydration attached to the frame. The hydration system has been integrated within the frame set. Looking in more detail at the frame, one of the coolest features is the size of the storage and how easy it is to access in the top tube. The hydration bladder is also simple to remove with a small clip from within the top tube storage.
Disc Brakes
The new Speedmax CFR now has disc brakes and utilises the SRAM S-900 Aero HRD disc brake lever. I find the lever is an improvement because the blip is now integrated with the disc brake lever.
New Integrated Spares storage
Canyon has taken things to the next level with this really neat and tidy spares storage in the bottom bracket. There is enough space for a cylinder, tube and tools to change a tyre all hidden within a slim flap near the crank.
Fit Kit
The bike comes with a very simple fitting guide. So after the bike arrives, you can easily make adjustments to your position using the kit.
Specific transport bag
A nice extra is the bike transport bag. Simply remove the wheels and undo the rear derailer and the bike fits neat within the bag. Some larger frames may need to remove the seat post.
